MUSIC FOR FILM
Composing for film has been my first step into the world of post-production sound. Although it didn't take long for me to fall in love with sound design & Foley as a subtle way of story-telling, there is so much music can achieve if done right. So if my styles suit your film, I'm ready to produce your score!
MUSIC FOR STAGE
I also love combining my musical and sound design skills live on/off stage, composing for theater, dance and performance. I enjoy experimenting with speakers in space (and leaving standard cinema layouts), as well as real-time interaction with dancers as a highly inspiring process.
In this rather free context I have created enveloping multi-channel experiences for several full-length solo pieces.

MUSICAL IDENTITY
JAZZ ROOTS
Being an active musician, I play tenor and soprano saxophones, analogue synthesizers, pianos, organs, guitars and whatever objects I find in my Foley studio.
I have acquired my skills in several big bands, jazz combos, electronic projects, rock and even cumbia bands, as well as studying under the internationally renowned saxophone player Johannes Enders.
DISTINCTIVE STYLE
Stylistically, I swing between jazz, dub, filigree electronica, minimal classic, musique concrète and pulsing club sounds. I'm especially fascinated by the electronic qualities of acoustic instruments (vice versa), and I love blending them together. Probably one can also discern some traces of my youth within the vibrant jazz/electronic scene of “TheNotwist”-town Weilheim, Bavaria, I don’t know.
ANALOGUE SOUNDS
Whether acoustic or electronic: I prefer to use analogue instruments. Warm sounds, subtle variations and hands-on playing lead to more expressive and unique results.
I don't need thousands of presets but instead love to plug cables, turn knobs and fine-tune exactly that specific sound I'm looking for. That's why real instruments add that special touch to your production, too.
ALBAN ENDLOS
As solo musician, I produce and release my own music as Alban Endlos. From time to time, I also remix other people's work, which is the only occasion that I use foreign "samples". Like with my own tracks, it's always a nice surprise to stumble upon them in international podcast series or radio shows.
My latest release is the 4-track “Regen EP“, once again smashing boundaries between acoustic & electronic instrumentation, minimal jazz & slow house, living room & club.
In 2016, I released the 9-track album "Goldene Welt", accompanied by six superb remixes and a Vimeo-staff-picked music video.
TREIBGUT
Together with two friends, I formed the live-act TREIBGUT, playing 100% improvised house music since 2009.
The combination of analogue synthesizers, soprano saxophone, electro-mechanical piano, effect pedals and drum machines aims for the more danceable side of things and has already played many beautiful festivals and renowed clubs.
