Following the same route that Pier Paolo Pasolini had taken for the magazine “Successo” in 1959, OSCAR®-decorated director Pepe Danquart captures incredible moments of today’s Italy. As a relentlessly exact observer, he brings up some painful political subjects like a.o. environmental pollution, unsolved problems with immigration, corruption, the economisation of every aspect of our lives – all of them already seen coming by Pasolini.
This cineastic piece of art with its brilliant moments, everlasting tableaus and remarkable details was absolutely begging for a super detailed sound design. And what a pleasure it was to give in :-) So I absolutely enjoyed designing all the 5.1 atmospheres and sound effects, recording and editing quite some Foley magic, as well as finally weaving it all together with all these incredibly skilled crafts(wo)men!
